Tiny Studies

I  decided to play around with some tiny color studies today, working on practicing brushstrokes, using masking fluid and throwin' in a little guache where I felt it was needed.  I can see a little Pinterest influence on some of these, I was going for some northen folk/wintery inspiration. 

Now on the the little girl in the red hood...

    These tiny color studies are such a lovely way to experiment with different techniques and develop a personal artistic style. I especially like the combination of brushwork, masking fluid, and gouache, along with the northern folk and winter-inspired atmosphere. The little girl in the red hood sounds like an especially charming detail that adds character to the collection. Creative practice like this can be relaxing and inspiring, especially when life feels busy. During demanding study periods, some students may even think take my online exam for me to create more time for artistic hobbies.
